Bold Screen Stories

Write for us

Bold Screen Stories welcomes original proposals that help readers notice how screen stories are made and understood. We are interested in clear, thoughtful writing grounded in specific examples rather than plot recap or jargon for its own sake.

What we welcome

Pitch ideas about visual storytelling, sound, narrative structure, genre, adaptation or the ways viewers read a screen work. A strong proposal has a distinct question, a defined scope and a reason the subject will reward a closer look.

Shape a useful pitch

Tell us the working angle, the main point you hope to make and the kinds of examples you would use. Note whether the idea depends on a particular work or can stand on a broader comparison. Avoid pitches that promise access, insider knowledge or factual claims you cannot support.

Send a proposal

Proposals are sent through the Contact page. Choose the editorial question option and include a short outline of the idea. Please send a proposal rather than a complete unsolicited article; we cannot promise a response time or publication.
